INSURING INTERIOR WORKS & BUILDING

Share to

A building has been constructed by a civil contractor and handed over to the owner. The owner decides to get interior, electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning works done through another contractor.

What is the right way of insuring the same?

a) Building covered under Fire Policy and all interior and other works covered under a separate CAR policy.

OR

b) All interior and other works covered under a CAR policy and building covered under the “Owners Surrounding Property” extension under the CAR policy?

OR

c) Both Building and Interior and other works covered under the fire policy.

The insured needs comprehensive coverage -coverage not only if the interior works result in damage to the building but also an earthquake damages the building.
